Membership:

Tau Omega stands on the values of sisterhood and service in the Harlem community and welcomes all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® to transfer or reactivate with our Chapter. We look forward to members visiting and we hope you find your home with us.

Meeting Information:

Meetings are open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting. 

Requirements to Visit Business Meetings:

Visiting members must provide two forms of identification, including a government-issued ID and one of the following:

  • Current or past financial card
  • Copy of original membership certificate provided by our Corporate Office
  • Receipt with your name from a cluster, regional or international AKA conference

Meeting Attire:

Business attire is required. 

Meeting Frequency:

Tau Omega Chapter meets on the third Saturday of each month (September through June). For more information, please contact our Membership Chairman at membership@akatauomega.com

Reactivation:

We are a legacy of sisterhood and service and welcome you back with open arms. Tau Omega hopes you find a new home in Harlem with us!

Prospective Members

Graduate membership is by invitation only and is not solicited through our graduate chapters. Graduate chapters host public events, such as forums, cultural presentations and social activities, so that prospective candidates can become acquainted with chapter members and learn about service activities they offer to local communities.
